Princess No 1 Turns Twelve

14 Aug 2010, a beautiful Saturday indeed, cos' there was a beautiful baby girl born on this delightful day 12 years ago and she is none other than our 1st born Princess!

This brought back memories all the way back in Dec 1997 when myself, man of my life and a church group of 40+ went to Israel. My man was baptised in River Jordan and I did not noe that I was juz "newly" pregnant!

We went from places to places and I remembered having diarrhoea for some 10x that I had to skip a place called Capernum! Then 1 wise lady in her 40s mentioned tat I could be pregant. I laughed it off.. cannot be so "accurate" one huh.. I juz knew that I was so sleepy that almost every nite, I would doze of by 8pm in the hotel, and my poor man had to keep me company...

When we returned and guess wat?

Using the pregnancy kit called "clear blue.". I got a shock of my life! I was really pregnant!

I got cold sweat leh.. thankfully, I did not have a fall in Israel, and my princess actually travelled in my womb to Israel FOC!

Now, whenever I see this lovely princess, I only marvel by His loving protection over His own including my 1st Princess n me!!!

The Power of Motherly Touch: Of Massage n Digging Ear..

When I returned home for the day, my eldest princess told me tat she was experiencing some headache, and also the ulcer in her mouth somehow refused to go away.. (told her to drink plenty of water so many times until I sounded like a broken tape recorder, now she got no choice but to drink, drink n drink...)

Suddenly, she asked of me to massage her forehead. I started massaging her forehead and curiously, my beloved Priness No 2 also pretended to have headache.

After massaging for Princess No 1 (Forehead only), Princess No 2, wanted massage all over her body..

Then, No 2 wanna dig ear.. and she only gotten her ear cleaned only few days ago..aiyah!

So, massage already, dig ear...

At the end of the nite, mother only busy with massaging 2 princesses and dig ears for the 3 bundles of joy..

Not forgetting going through Worksheet with Princess No 2.. cos' she learnt from her sister and she wanna excel in her studies too!

Beloved Daddy back from Retreat!

It was a beautiful Sunday.. a different Sunday cos' we were "Church-free" cos'

Counting down 5, 4, 3, 2,1... Time 2 fetch the man of my life from the retreat Centre..

Fetching the 3 Simlets in the car 2 TTC @ 11.am++ 2 see their beloved father after 2 nite Father-free..

I tot he would hv a "halo" on his head after solitude for 3 days n 2 nite..

None of it.. but he looked all smiles 2 see his beloved wife + 3 Simlets coming 2 fetch him..

He recomended Some Noodle Shop, "EAT" amongst the shops @ 10 Mile Mall, n we all headed there for a simple lunch.

Then, Simlets reminded their beloved Dad of the Philip's Carvival Sale n they were looking for Fruit Blender. We got a relatively good buy of a basic fruit blender for $35/-

Reaching home, my man n myself had to go for my last 3rd session of GKGW.. and we were given a test.. n I did not do well cos' never prepare mah..

After dinner, we saw the Simlets enthusiastically getting some great menu on smoothie making n before we knew it, we were on the way to NTUC Fairprice buying fruits like strawberries (U.S one huh. got quality one) Water melon, banana, apples, etc.

By 9pm, We did our 1st "Simlets' Delightful Smoothie" with

Strawberries (3 cups) + 1 Banana + Vanilla Yogurt + 1 teaspoon of honey... n ice-cubes (6-7) n the mixture turned out was great...

We tried another concortion... All bananas + Fresh Milk (1/2 cup) + Honey...

When mixture was ready, all were blessed with 1 scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top of their smoothie..

Wow...it tasted delightful (esp for my Princess No 2... Ice-cream is her "life-line"..)

We ended the nite with a family special... watching another comedy show by Jacky Chan... "Rob-Bin- Hood) n the Simlets enjoyed their nite away...

Simlets' Showtime... with blessings of snacks like peanuts. etc 2 sweeten the fellowship of the Simlets...

With Daddy around... Showtime was great time indeed!

Going shopping with... my crown Prince

Last Sat, after coming back from morning prayers with some great ladies, I was coining the idea of how 2 keep my children occupied in their father's absence (he was still in retreat centre) on a beautiful Sat afternoon..

Either see a show... " Shrek 4ever"

or

Going to Borders by MRT

Option 1:-

Princess No 1 said.. too expensive! too crowded also!!

Option 2"-
Princess No 1 said, too hot, did not want 2 take MRT , but willing to go if taking car..

I suggested going to Borders, as Crown Prince has got a $40 Border's voucher since his birthday in Feb n it was yet 2 b used. In addition, he also had Taka vouchers 2 utilise.

Princess No 1 Bargained with Crown Prince regarding xchanging $5 for his $30 voucher, of course it was a lousy deal for Crown Prince, but the incentive was tat he would hv the elder sister 2 come along under the hot sun n travelling via MRT.

Crown Prince tot about it n decided to go alone with his beloved mum to have a shopping spreee... $40/- Borders Voucher + $ 30 Taka Voucher..

Walking to MRT using Transport 11 (foot lah) was ok except the hot weather. The walk was made more pleasant cos' my beloved son brought along a icy-cold can of drink n we enjoyed walking n drinking.

Taking MRT ride 2 Orchard was a 32 min tingy but upon reaching Orchard, the crowd juz became bigger than we expected.

We got the opportunity 2 browse through some books b4 looking out for "Wimpy Kid" book serries fondly suggested by my son.

Finally, we found a buy 3 get 2 promo, but he did not like the 3rd book.
Well, in the end, gotten 2 Wimpy books for slighty over $40.

So delightful after the superb great purchase, cash outlay of $30+ for 2 books, he was overjoyed n

wanna prceed 2 Taka S. C to finish up his $30 worth of vouchers.

While the walk was the next 10 mins, while walking along the pavement, 4 once, we felt like tourists as no body seemed 2 bother..

Upon reaching Taka, we headed straight to the Toys Dept n Crown Prince was so imppressed by some magic stuff , n used up the $30 voucher straight.

Aiyoh, n he bought 1 Magic Worm n also wanna buy 1 eachg to bless his 2 sisters. He bought another magic stuff, "UFO" purely 4 himself. He excitedly wanna go back, and on the way, got a blessing of ice-cream from his beloved mum.

Taking MRT back to home was another breeze, n catch another mode of transport call the Bus was another elated time together.

Upon Reaching home, as excited as he was, He rushed into his room to practise on the magic b4 giving his sisters a surprise!

Guess Wat, he got himself a .... BIG Surprise, or even a shock!

His Magic Worm was no magic but one with a hair-thin thread-like string

His Magic UFO was also no magic except an even super thin thread-like string.

He was relatively disappointed n mentioned tat he would hv listened to my advice 2 buy something else rather than the supposedly magic stuff

I told him to take comfort, afterall, he got the chance 2 travel via various mode of transport n spend less than $5 for 2 great books + 3 magic worms + 1 Magic UFOs..

Better than the Great S'pore Sale, isn't it?

I hope tat he felt better by now...

Spouse-Free but Children-Ful "Holiday"

2day is Vesak Day, a public holiday, followed by 1 month long June Holiday..

I had 2 wake up early 2 fetch my beloved man of my life 2 his retreat centre @ TTC for a time of solitude n silence.

We got a quick breakfast n headed 2 his destination of peace.. wife-free, children-free but God-Ful! Wow! how heavenly!

Even b4 leaving my man @ tat heavenly haven, I alreadi felt a strange feeling of being detached from the man of my life..

However, he has a higher call... seeking God!

I hv my higher call... taking care of fruit of our love... 3 Simlets..

Saying goodbye 2 my man with lots of kisses n hugs (in the lift heading 2 car-park), I drove off unwillingly n headed home 2 b a blessing 2 my 3 Simlets..

Bringing them 4 early lunch @ Sembawang Shopping Centre was surprisingly a breeze.. they all agreed 2 go Ashton Specialty for lunch..

As the portions were ususally huge, 4 of us ordered 2 set meals (chicken again-- in different cooking style.. fried n Chargrilled) + 2 pcs of crispy fried chicken + 2 special concortion of mango n peach.. Sjore, wat a delighful name for a drink..

We had quite a peaceful lunch, except my Princess No 2 hs a superbly efficient digestive system.

Almost immediately after the lunch, she headed 2 the washroom for the next 10 mins or so to do her "big" business.

We waited outside the toilet, while my 1st 2 Simlets headed 2 Popular 4 more assessment books (Oops!) n my beloved Princess No 2 wanted some pet soft toy called "Zhu Zhu Pet" for herself but I refused cos'we got too many of them @ home.

She wasn't too happy, but I left her alone...

Before it began 2 pour, we headed home, half way through, Crown Prince Wanna buy a Star Hub Top up card, n instead of getting $6 card we got another $18 (less $2/- leh..) Top-up card instead. My proud young man paid it using his own savings n wanna send sms 2 his best frenz..

Imagine.. I gotten a $6 card less than 1 month ago but he was happily using the send 5 sms foc 10 sms tat he texted none-stop. Instead of using it for 6 months, the value was gone in less than 1 month!

He was totally shocked, but he learnt his lesson... send max 5 sms daily 2 his best frenz..

Oh yes! He even texted his best frenz about tis.. Unbelievable!

Wat a holiday...

Spouse-free?
Children-ful??

.. Wat else?

Holiday ful..?

Aiyoh.. juz Njoy... simple things in life.. like food, assessment bks,

Oh yes!

The Celebration of Life... isn't it?

Last day of School..All school children say "Hurray"!

2day could be the happiest day of many school children, including my 3 Simlets... cos' it is the last day of School, the beginning of the June School Holiday! Hurray!!!

Not only can they can sleep late, wake up late.. n the best part, dili-daly for whole month to do the school holiday work.

All work (school work esp) n no play makes Jack (Jill also lah) a dull boy (girl)

I always tell my children, if I were the principal of any school, I will make sure school holidays really means school holidays, no homework at all!

But tis is ideal, cos' few parents will appreciate tat.. they wanna more n more so tat to keep the children busy, busy, busy.. aiyoh!

Wat 2 occupy our children during school holiday may b a challenge.. do we pack our children with enrichment programmes or camps.. or juz let them b themselves at home.. I wonder..

I am pretty switched off parent.. n I will let the Simlets enjoy one another's company for the next 1 week before deciding wat 2 do with them...

Lunching with my 3 bundles of joy

Almost every Wed is my off day, busying bring children out 1 by 1.

2nd Princess in afternoon session, n she is full of energy n sometimes handling her pattern requires many doses of patience, but in general, she is a thoughtful girl.

Princess No 2 wanna goes to school early, like 11.30am, juz 2 catch up with some of her frenz in school playing n playing.

Her needs is simple, juz bring her 2 the nearby 24 hours KPT, n she wanna eat mixed rice (with 2 side dishes) or fried carrot cake.

She is simply a blessing, like the 2 other siblings, Princess No 1 n Crown Prince No 1.

Later, I managed 2 hv lunch with the other 2. Princess wanna Ashton, Crown Prince wanna Subway.. as a result, "engaging" conversations between the 2, sparing around n poor beloved mummy, trying 2 figure out how 2 stop it.. well I learnt tat perhaps this is 1 way tat they build their relationships as bro n sis. I remembered when I was young, I hv 5 other siblings, we fought (gentle ones lah), we quarrel (gentle ones also) but as we grow up, those whom we fought over became closer.. n now we enjoyed one another's company so much..

Time 2 let children grow up, time 2 let them build relationship in an unconventional way, as long as there is no vulgarity, n hands off, that will be ok...

Lunching with my beloved colleagues

Having wonderful colleagues is certainly delightful..

I always been thankful tat I hv such a bunch of colleagues tat stand by me.

I had a simple but nice lunch with my beloved frenz of 18 years. She may b my mother's age, but she simply looks younger, n she bought me my favorite dish.. Wanton Mee.

I enjoyed her company with lots of sharing from politics 2 homefront, u name it, she has it..

Before our lunch ended, we were joined by another 3 colleagues, and we continued our fellowship over coffee, tea, kuey etc etc..

After which, we went back office 2 do our work..

1 type of rice raise up different type of children.. leh!

When comes 2 exams time, my man n myself are very relaxed.

We allow our children 2 do their own revision so tat we allow them to have chance 2 b independent.

My 3 children are very different n special in their own way..

1) Princess No 1, very automatic, she will schedule her own time table 2 study

2) Crown Prince, very shrewd, he is clever, n he will study own time own target...

3) Princess No 2, very enterprenuerial, tinks tat she can do all things, n her results can tell.. she is very positive too... Once when she got 6/10, she actually was thankful tat she got 6 mks instead of losing the 4 marks..haha

Wat can I say... 1 type of rice raise up different type of children...

Amazing isn't it?

Puzzling as times, rite?

Thought-provoking.. too!?

Wat a nite...enjoying the children

Last nite, we gathered our 3 wonderful children 2gether 4 a time of bedtime talk. They came into our room with the kingsize bed n they wanted the lights out.

I shared with them 3 things tat we wanna impliment after going thru' GKGW..

1) Do not interrupt

- if need to talk, hold us on the right elbow n.... WAIT!

2) 1st time obedience...

"Yes mummy, Yes Daddy"

practising 1st time obedience add value to one another so tat we do not need to shout 2 get each other attention

3) Folding of hands 2gether- practise self-control!

Whenever there is a possibilty of conflicts, jz simply hold 2 hands together n pause n inhale n exhale etc... a time of reflection too...

After tat, my man engaged with the children with sharing n questions n I ended up falling asleep in the dark.

When time is up 4 children 2 go 2 bed, each gave me a kiss n say Goodnite, wat a triple joy, they are sweet, aren't they?

Sweeter than honey? oh yea? Oh yes!!!

I hv a new Pet.... LovelyMiracle!

Guess wat?

My second princess got 2 play tis morning with me..

and she won me flat, esp in the area of ice-cream making!

She is simply superb n unbeatable, n the mummy was beaten... FLAT...

Aiyoh.. very painful leh.. but also very fun hor (for the children)

Welcome 2 the world of the Next Generation....

Now I feel so lovely...

Now I need a miracle...

No wonder, my latest, newest n only pet... the LovelyMiracle
